Specimen Types


The CGB obtain biospecimens from patients entered on cancer clinical trials supported through the NCI’s Clinical Trials Cooperative Group Program. Typically these are large phase II or phase III therapeutic trials and the specimens are associated with detailed, clinical and outcome data. The anatomic site and type of specimen(s) collected vary based on the scientific goals of the trial.
